Takes Too Long to Dry Clothes
Usually a blocked vent, a crushed hose or lint in the blower housing. We clear the airflow and fix the cause, so your dryer dries in one cycle again.
Drum Not Spinning or Tumbling
If the motor runs but the drum stays still, it is a snapped drive belt almost every time. A common and quick repair. If the motor does not run either, it is the motor, the idler pulley seizing, or the start switch.
Burning Smell or Excess Heat
Stop using it and call. This is lint against a heat source, and it is the origin of most dryer fires. We clear the blower housing and the vent path as part of the repair, not as an upsell.
Clothes Come Out Wrinkled or Scorched
A cycling thermostat stuck closed, or a moisture sensor reading wrong on a sensor-dry model. The dryer looks like it is working, which is why this one gets lived with for months.
Dryer Won't Start
No response from the panel, or a click with no motion. Door switch, start switch, thermal fuse or motor. The thermal fuse is a safety device — if it has blown, something else caused it, and replacing the fuse alone means it blows again.
Dryer Keeps Turning Off Mid-Cycle
Different fault from a dryer that will not start. This is overheating from restricted airflow, or a failing motor cutting out on thermal overload. Both get worse if you keep running it.
Loud Noise, Thumping or Squeaking
Worn drum rollers, a failing idler pulley, or bad bearings. The parts are cheap, and ignoring the noise eventually takes out the belt or the motor — which is not cheap.
Dryer Not Heating
The most common call we take. On electric dryers it is the heating element, a blown thermal fuse or a failed thermostat; on gas dryers it is the igniter, flame sensor or gas valve coils. All are inexpensive parts and usually same-visit repairs — a dryer that tumbles but will not heat is rarely a dead machine.
Error Code on the Display
An error code is the most useful thing you can hand us. It points straight at the failed component on most brands, so when you read it out on the phone we can load the part before we leave — one visit instead of two.
