Freezer Repair in Spokane, Spokane Valley & Coeur d'Alene
Certified Freezer Repair Specialists
When your freezer stops freezing, frosts over, or starts running without ever cycling off, the clock is on the food inside it.
AirNest Service provides professional freezer repair in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Coeur d'Alene, and surrounding areas — chest, upright, built-in and garage units.
Same-day or next-day appointments, depending on scheduling and parts availability. We diagnose on site and quote the repair before any work begins.
Most freezer faults come down to one part — a start relay, a defrost heater, an evaporator fan or a door seal. Here is what each symptom usually means and what we check first.
Freezer Problems We Fix
We focus on safety, energy efficiency, and appliance longevity.
Freezer Running Constantly, Never Cycling Off
Usually door seals, a dirty condenser coil or a thermostat. We find the cause and fix it before it costs you on the power bill.
Water Pooling Under or Inside the Freezer
Usually a frozen or blocked defrost drain. On upright units it shows up as ice on the floor of the cabinet; on chest units, as water at the front.
Temperature Display or Alarm Faults
A high-temperature alarm that will not clear, or a display disagreeing with the actual cabinet temperature. Usually a thermistor rather than the control board.
Noisy, Clicking or Buzzing
Clicking every few minutes usually means a start relay trying and failing. Buzzing or grinding points to a fan motor or the compressor mount.
Heavy Frost or Ice Buildup
Frost on the walls or under the baskets means the defrost cycle has stopped working. Defrost thermostat, heater or control board. Left alone it blocks airflow and turns into the not-cold-enough complaint above.
Door or Lid Not Sealing
Warped gaskets, a lid that no longer holds itself shut, or hinges that have dropped. An inexpensive part, and the cause of a surprising share of frost and running-constantly calls.
Freezer Cold But Not Cold Enough
Ice cream soft, meat not solid. Airflow or defrost rather than the compressor — a far cheaper repair, and one that gets misdiagnosed as a dying unit more often than any other freezer fault.
Freezer Not Freezing At All
No cold at all? Most often it is a start relay or a defrost fault, a same-visit repair. Call us before the food thaws.
Garage Freezer Stops Working in Winter
Garage freezer stopped running when it got cold outside? We check the thermostat and controls and get it freezing again, so you don't lose what's inside.
Built-In and Column Freezer Faults
Sub-Zero, Thermador and Viking columns. Access is the difficult part, and replacement means cabinetry — these are almost always worth repairing.
Freezers We Service
Chest Freezers
The workhorses — garages, basements and second kitchens. Usually the cheapest of all to repair.
Upright Freezers
Frost-free and manual-defrost models. Defrost faults are the characteristic failure of this type — the frost-free system is the part that has something to go wrong with.
Garage-Ready Freezers
Units built to run in an unheated space. We repair all garage-ready models.
Built-In and Column Freezers
Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking and other panel-ready units.
Drawer and Under-Counter Freezers
Kitchen islands, bars and outdoor kitchens.
Commercial Freezers and Walk-Ins
Reach-in freezers and walk-in units for restaurants and shops are on our commercial appliance repair page, with their own price ranges.

Freezer repairs run $189–349, depending on the part and the fault. Defrost and fan work sits at the bottom of the range; sealed-system work at the top. The inspection fee is $89 for home appliances and it is credited toward the repair if you go ahead — so if we fix it, the diagnosis costs you nothing extra.
-
Often same-day or next-day, depending on scheduling and parts availability. Freezers are treated as priority calls because the food is on a clock.

For most faults, yes. A relay, a defrost heater or a fan motor is a fraction of a new unit. Built-in and column freezers are worth repairing well past the point a chest freezer would be, because replacing one means cabinetry work.
