Microwave Repair in Spokane, Spokane Valley & Coeur d'Alene

Certified Microwave Repair Specialists

When your microwave stops heating, sparks inside, or the turntable and door stop behaving, the repair is usually one part — and on a built-in or over-the-range unit, replacing the whole machine means cabinetry and venting.

AirNest Service provides professional microwave repair in Spokane, Spokane Valley, Coeur d'Alene, and surrounding areas — built-in, over-the-range, drawer and countertop units — with same-day or next-day appointments available depending on scheduling and parts availability.

fast contact

Most microwave faults come down to one component — a magnetron, a high-voltage diode, a door switch or the control board. Here is what each symptom usually means and what we check first.

Microwave Problems We Fix

We focus on safety, energy efficiency, and appliance longevity.

Sparking or Arcing Inside

Almost always the waveguide cover — a small mica panel that burns through — or a metal rack touching the cavity wall. Stop using it until it is looked at: arcing damages the cavity and can take the magnetron with it.

Turntable Not Turning

The drive motor, the coupler, or the roller ring underneath. One of the least expensive repairs on the appliance.

Loud Buzzing or Grinding

A magnetron on its way out buzzes under load; a grinding noise is more often the turntable motor or the cooling fan. Different parts, very different cost, and worth diagnosing before anything is ordered.

Light Out, Fan Runs Constantly, or Unit Runs With the Door Open

Interlock and relay faults. A microwave that runs with the door open is not a nuisance, it is a safety fault — unplug it and call.

Door Will Not Latch or Unit Starts and Stops

Microwaves use three interlock switches in series and any one of them stops the machine. A door that has dropped on its hinges puts them out of alignment, which is why this fault often follows a slammed door rather than an electrical failure.

Control Panel Dead or Unresponsive

A membrane touchpad that no longer registers, or a control board that resets. Read us the error code when you call — it usually tells us which part to bring.

Over-the-Range Vent Fan Not Working

The fan motor, its switch or the charcoal filter housing. On an over-the-range unit the vent is half the appliance's job, and a dead fan is a repair in its own right.

Runs But Does Not Heat

The turntable turns, the light is on, the food stays cold. Usually the magnetron, the high-voltage diode or the capacitor. This is the most common microwave fault and it is a parts repair, not a replacement.

Built-In Trim Kit or Mounting Problems

A built-in unit sagging in its cabinet or an over-the-range microwave pulling away from the wall. Mounting hardware and brackets, and we connect to existing electrical and venting — new circuits and new ductwork are outside what we take on.

Burning Smell or Smoke

Unplug it and do not run it again. This is usually the waveguide cover or the magnetron, and it is the one microwave symptom where continuing to use the appliance makes the repair materially more expensive.

Microwaves We Service

Over-the-Range Microwaves
The most common built-in style, and the one where the vent fan matters as much as the cooking. Replacement means matching the cabinet opening and the existing venting.

Built-In and Trim Kit Units
Wall-oven combinations and cabinet-mounted microwaves, where replacement means cabinetry work — these are the units most worth repairing.

Microwave Drawers
Under-counter drawer units, which fault differently from a standard cavity and cost considerably more to replace.

Countertop Microwaves
Freestanding units of every size, including the larger convection and inverter models.

Commercial Microwaves
Restaurant and café units, including Amana and Panasonic commercial models, are covered on our commercial page with their own price ranges.
